Matthew 9:27-30...Do You Believe?...
As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David! ”When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”
Jesus is our healer. The blind men that followed Him home knew this and believed in His healing power. Their faith that He was able to bring sight to their eyes was secure and when asked they were able to testify to the same. Also notable in this passage was here we have two men, both with the same affliction and both seeking a cure from Jesus. There is power in joining together in prayer and seeking together the wisdom and direction of God upon our lives. Whenever we think that we are alone in our plight or secluded we should seek out those that are commonly affected or have passed through this before. In numbers there is strength and this is true in our prayer life. Be willing to join others in prayer that seek the Lord’s help in their time of need. Lift them up in prayer.
