Matthew 7:24-25...Is your Foundation Built on the Rock?...

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

Each and every Sunday there are untold thousands that enter the Sanctuaries in their local churches to hear God’s Word. We would be shocked to uncover how many hear the scripture and listen to the instruction and yet cast them aside immediately upon leaving the building. Even in Jesus day this was prevalent. Enough so that Jesus taught this parable above about how we are to build our heavenly home. I find this parable of particular interest having spent much time in the construction arena. The principle of building on solid rock over shifting sand is vital to success. The best part is that we have the foundation already laid for us in Jesus Christ. The Rock is provided, all we need to do is listen and act upon His word and His direction in order to build our house. Listen as He speaks.
