Luke 1:46-49...Follow Directions...

“And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has looked on the humble estate of His servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed, for He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.’”

Mary may have been very lowly, even looked down upon by most of her own family, as many scholars would later say, however she found favor with God. She also recognized the prominent place that God had afforded her and gave back to Him all the praise and honor accordingly. She lifted up His Holy Name and rejoiced in the fact that God was her Savior. Mary was in touch with God’s word and listening to His direction carefully. What a great pattern for our lives, listening to God and acting upon His direction.
