Matthew 6:14-15...Forgiveness is Freedom..

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Forgiveness is not something we see the world handing out very often. It is because they have not experienced the forgiving grace of Jesus Christ. So many need to experience and understand the freedom that forgiveness gives. When we forgive we impart freedom to the one we believe has transgressed against us but we also enjoy freedom ourselves as we are no longer burdened by the weight of judgement. Forgiveness is unnatural to our sinful nature and therefore it requires us to seek God and to employ HIs help in working though our hearts and minds to allow us to forgive. Through this we are reminded of all the forgiveness that Christ has offered us when we least deserved it.
