Jonah 2:8...What do You Worship...

“Those that cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love toward them.”

Too many people in today’s society cling to idols that they may not even be aware they are worshiping. Idols such as status in the community, position at work, money in the bank and so forth. It is easy to spend time concentrating on the things that seeming matter to us and before we are even aware they become our idols, time consuming objects. We have only one God and He deserves our worship, our time and our praise. Identify what you may be spending more time or seeking after more than spending time alone with God and make the correction accordingly. You will find greater peace and comfort once your priorities are in order.
