Philippians 2:3-4...May I help you...
"Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
We spend a great deal of our time looking at what others have, justifying and determining what we think we should have or even what we think we are entitled. Even worse what the world owes us or what we deserve. I have seen a post, on social media, that shows a blank piece of paper and is labeled, “This is the complete list of what you are entitled to and deserve.” How true!! It is not our lot in life to look for what is owed to us but rather to seek out the needs of others and to fulfill those needs. We are supposed to care for others at least as much as we do for ourselves and yet we seem to come up short most of the time. We are here but a short while and consequently we should stretch ourselves, seeking God’s direction and helping meet the needs of those surrounding us. Take time to erase from your list that which you think you are owed and replace it with something you can do for others. What a blessing you will find.
