Colossians 3:12-14... We are the blessed..

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. "

When something tragic happens in the news or we get surprised by how selfish or unkind others can be, we need to pause and realize that we are the family of Christ. What we are witnessing is the destructive nature of those who do not know Jesus. They do not have a center of strength, instruction and rejuvenation. They are not filled with the love of Christ and the compassion that follows. We are fortunate to know where to go to revive our spirit and to feed our soul. God’s Word gives us the tools that we need and the knowledge that we require to face the world everyday. All we have to do is read, study and absorb the truth contained within. It is vitally important that we, as Christians, spend time alone with God and in His Word.
