James 1:4-8...Free for all who ask...

"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

God’s free gift of salvation is the only way to eternal life and yet God has many other gifts to below upon us. In the passage today James reminds us that we can freely ask for wisdom and God will generously give without finding fault. Without holding back God will generously give us wisdom, with one condition, that we are steadfast in our belief and without doubt but certain that He will fulfill His promise. Doubt is easy to come by and will creep in when we allow an opening. We must be certain and assured that God will guide our path and provide the wisdom that is promised. Cast doubt aside and understand that God is faithful and above all and any doubt we may conjure up.
