Luke 19:1-4...Can you see?...
"Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.”
Zacchaeus was a short fellow and found it difficult to see over crowds. He had heard about Jesus and had the desire to see Him, to seek after Him and know him. In order to even see him he would need to climb up into a tree to see over the crowd. Already Zacchaeus was exercising a faith he did not realize existed. Jesus noticed his faith and the actions that he put to that faith in finding a way to see what he sought after. Faith requires action. It is the hope of things not yet visible and so we must prayerfully move forward to where Christ may be revealed. Look upward, push forward, pray constantly and you will find what Christ has in store.
