Proverbs 27:1...What about tomorrow?

“Do not boast about tomorrow, of you do not know what a day may bring forth.”

All too often we get caught up in the things of tomorrow, next week and even after that. While it is good to forecast and prudent to have a plan to follow, it is not good to dwell on, or boast about it, simply because we are not certain of what will come tomorrow. How many times have you had to stop and take a breath and realize that you had no idea about what just happened? The fact that we cannot see the future should be enough for us to place our trust in God, yet there are still many who think that they own, shape and are in control of tomorrow. Don’t be caught in that trap. We have a future that is certain, an eternal future on which we can trust and we should place that same confidence in what the Lord has for us each and every day, accepting it one day at a time and looking for His guiding hand each step of the way.
