Philippians 4:4-7 Stressed? Anxious?

Good Morning,

Philippians 4:4-7

“Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus.”

When we face times of stress or anxiety we often forget something that is pointed out in this passage. “The Lord is near.” We tend to forget just how close God is to us and how easily we can reach out to Him in prayer. Our conversation with God each day should be all throughout the day, helping to understand just how near He is to us. We should bring everything to Him, our concerns, our desires, our needs and our burdens. He cares for us and looks after us as His children. His peace will be upon us, even though we cannot understand how, we know that it is there, guarding our hearts and minds. “Rejoice in the Lord!”

Blessings,
