Proverbs 3:27-28...May I help?...

“Do not withhold good from those that deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to you neighbor ‘Come back later, I will give it to you tomorrow’ - when you now have it with you.”

Our generosity cannot always be thoughtfully planned out or executed according to a specific timetable. There are moments when we realize a need or see an opportunity to help and we should do so, without hesitation and without second guessing. God has provided for us much more that our basic need and given us instruction to share with others, to reach out to those that are in need. The simple act of giving, abundantly, is what God is looking for and what He rewards. When we see the need we should respond and when we know that we are able to help we should be willing and ready. Part of our Christian walk is being aware of those around us and helping to fulfill their needs, through prayer, kind words, uplifting speech and our generosity. Sharing is not always about money but often is about our attitude and mindset. Sharing the gospel of Christ is one of the most important gifts we can give.
