2 Kings 15:34-35...Who is on Top?...

“He did what was right in the name of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done. The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there…”

Many kings before and after Jotham failed to follow through on removing the high places where people continued to offer sacrifice and burn incense to other gods. Although many of the kings found favor in the eyes of God they fell short in their duty by allowing these places to remain. As we walk with Christ each day we must be careful not to let anything be above or in place of our worship and our devotion to God. We must constantly review our lives and take inventory to insure that we remain true to our calling and to His service. We will always fail and God will continue to forgive, yet we must be diligent on ur efforts to keeps the distractions and deterrents away from our lives. We cannot be idle, we must proclaim our belief and we must share the gospel message with those we meet, both verbal and with our walk.
