1 John 4:15-16...God is Love...

“If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God, and God in him.”

God is love. It is such a simple and remarkable truth. We tend, as a society, to overlook this truth or even to ignore the power of the statement. We get caught up in the battle of each day, wrapped up in the bickering and even captured by the flow of the crowd surrounding us. If we are not careful that current will take us to places we did not intend to go. Our path has to be focused and pointed toward God. We are privileged to feel the warmth of His love, to know that He is always there and we can always rely on Him. It is this love, that God wraps around us, that we should extend to others. Even in the heat of the moment there is always an opportunity to show love and compassion. We simply need to remember how Christ showed his love for us and took compassion upon us.
