Jeff and Denise Naber of Wilderness Scout Ministries hosted the first of many Marriage Survival Training retreats at their farm in Stanfield, NC. The retreat was attended by 7 law enforcement couples from the local area. Participants enjoyed fellowship with other couples that shared many values and life experiences. They enjoyed good food, worship, and primitive camping in the woods. The highlight of the weekend was a bonfire on Saturday night, where the officers and their spouses enjoyed music, a crackling fire, and roasting doughnuts over the campfire.

Topics for the weekend included law enforcement career impact on officers and families, marriage communication, biblical roles of husband and wife, and differences between men and women.

Jeff Naber is a retired law enforcement officer with 35 years of service. He has instructed at state and federal government academies. Denise Molatch Naber is a former officer, widow of a 30-year law enforcement veteran, and currently a biblical counselor for law enforcement couples.

The next retreat is scheduled for June 5-6. Enrollment is open and is available here.
