Colossians 3:12-14...Be A Light For Others...

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. "

Not unlike the turmoil that existed in the times of the Old Testament, we live in a society that struggles with the same issues. Greed, power, hate, envy and lust seem to permeate every corner of our world. We need to be cautious, as God’s children, to protect ourselves. We need to lead the way in showing the world compassion, humility and grace. It is up to us to exemplify the attributes that the Holy Spirit gives to us. If we let down our guard or allow the world to control our emotions and steer our paths we will no longer be the shinning light that is so needed. Our Father forgave us of our sins and sacrificed His only Son for our salvation. By that grace we should be willing to make amends with our brothers and to show the world the love of Jesus Christ.
