Philippians 2:1-4...Be A Blessing...

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

“Not looking to your own interest” is a very difficult concept these days. Look around you and you will easily see that most people are searching for their own satisfaction without a care or interest in what others may want or even need. The world is a greedy place and full of people that are out for self interest. Within that landscape we need to shine a ray of hope and show others that we are concerned about them through the love of Christ. This simple and effective gesture of love reaps bountiful benefits, both for the recipient and for ourselves. Pay attention to those around you today and light up the world with the love of God that resides within you…
