Matthew 11:28-30...Rest and Recovery...

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

What a great invitation, one we should extend to everyone as part of the gospel message. The invitation to rest in Jesus, to learn from His teachings and to serve.  Life is not easy and this is not an escape from our day-to-day toils and troubles but it does promise where we can find rest, rejuvenate our hearts and minds and a place to learn. Jesus carries our burdens and teaches us to be humble and gentle in our hearts. Following Jesus and resting in His arms provides us with the comfort that no one else may provide. All Jesus ask is that we come to Him.
