Philippians 3:13-14...Moving Forward...

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

We hear so many people refer to the past. Many use the past as an excuse not to move forward and still others use it as a weapon to destroy hopes and dreams. While the past has always proven as a lesson to teach us it should not be used to prevent us from moving forward. God has a plan for us, the ultimate of which is eternity spent with Him in Heaven. This is the goal that we look forward to and if we are constantly looking back to see the past we may well miss seeing what is right in front of us for the future. Be careful to remember the past but not to dwell on it or live in that state of mind. Always be looking forward to see where God is leading and what marvelous things He has in store for each of us.
