1 Peter 3:8-9...Live in Harmony...

“Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another, be sympathetic , love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil, or insult with insult, but with blessings, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”

It is not often, but at times, we think about the things that we have inherited from our parents or grandparents. Things such as the way we look, the way we talk, the way we interact with people and even the way that we view the world at large. Many of our traits are instilled in us by the amount of time we spend around those that influence our lives greatly. So it is with our time spent with God. His instruction, His love, His compassion are all right here beside us every day. We learn from reading His Word, from listening while we pray and by acting according to what we learn. It is through all of this that we receive the inheritance of blessings according to how we have distributed these same blessings to others. Be generous and always willing to bless those around you.
