Genesis 8:14-16...God's Plan...

The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted.

Surely Abram was wondering how God was going to expand his family as Sari was barren. Though he wondered Abram still believed that God could fulfill His promise. Abram followed God’s plan as he moved along the desert and came to the place where he finally settled. Once He arrived God again had him look over the whole of the land and reiterated His promise to Abram. The promise of Abram’s descendants occupying all of the land he could see and the number of his descendants being more than could possibly be counted. Although it seems humanly impossible, God is able to fulfill His promises. Abram set his mind and heart early to follow God and praise Him with altars as he traveled along the way. A great example for us. We will ultimately fail if we walk apart from God. We should set our hearts and minds to follow His path and we should seek His guidance each day through study of His Holy Word. Pray that God will direct your path and bring success to efforts.
