Exodus 17:2-3...Grumbling or Praise...
So they quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.”Moses replied, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?”But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”
The chosen people of Israel had spent very little time in the desert before they started grumbling. We may think that unrest and discord have only been of recent day but we see here that it is common whenever people start to question what God is doing in their lives. Grumbling can lead to arguing and even further to distrust and separation from communion with God. Our faith must remain strong. We must remain faithful to the belief that God is in control and that He knows what is best for us. This may be difficult at times however it is righteous and true. God has a plan for each of us. Lean into Him and study His Word. See where He leads you and follow His divine guidance.
