Romans 14:19...Good for Everyone...

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

A consideration that is often overlooked in our modern day society is compromise and mutual edification. We have become a society, and for that mater a world, consumed with the thought of “what’s in it for me?”. Rather than considering the overall consequence or impact of our decisions we rush forward with only our best interest in mind. What a difference could be made in the world at large by pausing to consider how our actions, even our words, might affect others. It is a tough discipline and one that we should aspire to achieve because ultimately this is our calling. Pause before you speak, contemplate before you act and consider if everyone benefits in all that is accomplished.
