John 14:27...No Fear...

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

In a totally confusing and troubled world we find ourselves stressed at times over things that we do not control or over circumstances that we do not fully understand. Even when we do understand the mechanics or can clearly see the motives we remain troubled or concerned and can’t seem to quite wrap our heads around everything at hand. It is at these moments in life that we must remember that our faith provides for us a peace that the rest of the world does not possess. We are not searching to fill a void in our lives because God has poured into us more than our mere vessels will contain. Part of this is HIs peace and our understanding that God is in control. He has already figured all of this out and He knows what is in our future and what we need in the present. Aside from the peace that is afforded us Jesus also instructed us to not be afraid and to keep our hearts from being troubled. Only through His grace are we able to achieve this plateau and through His love for us, as His children, we may know that His peace remains..
