Psalm 103:8-12...Practice Graciousness...

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Open your computer, or tune your television, to the latest news and you will find almost everyone pointing fingers and assigning blame. “Someone has to pay” is now the basis for every story and each news cycle is filled with bountiful prospects. Everyone seems eager to pass judgement or condemn rather that forgive. Compassion and grace seem to have left us, or at least they are very well hidden from our view. We would do well to remember that before Jesus forgave us our sins, and through His grace gave us life everlasting, we were bound for an eternal existence in hell. Instead He separated us from that fate, "as far as the east is from the west” and because of His great love we are heaven bound. With that in mind, do not be swept up in the blame game. Use every opportunity to shower grace and compassion where it might be least expected. Overlook the things that this world likes to focus upon and share the love of Christ in doing good.

Blessings,
