Exodus 4:11-12...Learning From God...

The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

The story here is of Moses as God calls him to become the leader of the Israelites in pursuit of freedom from the oppression of Egypt. Moses, like many of us, felt unworthy and even more so because he felt that he could not speak to his people because of either a speech impediment or simply acknowledging his weakness to speak out. God answered Moses and reminded him of how and why He would lead the way. We often fall short by the same reason in believing that we do not possess the strength or the talent or the tenacity to do what is ask of us. When we find ourselves in these situations we should remember that we are created by God for His purpose and that He has given to each of us talents and skills that will aide us in our journey. We may not recognize the attribute that we have been given but we should always know that God will provide the words that we need and the provision that is required to accomplish His divine purpose. Praise God for His gifts to each of us.
