Luke 1:26-28...Your Purpose...

"In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, 'Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!’”

Of all the women, of all time, God selected Mary. Now He was sending His messenger to relay the good news. God had a divine and special purpose for Mary, one that she was unaware of until the time of Gabriel’s appearance. Sure, she knew God, she served Him and honored Him with her praise. She had found favor with the Lord. And now she was to become the mother of Jesus Christ. Oh that we should find favor with God, that we should be constantly in payer with Him and always giving Him praise, putting Him first in our lives and ready to serve whenever called. God has a plan for our lives as well. One that will serve His Kingdom. Pray that you might always be alert to God’s direction and purpose for your life.
