Joshua 6:14...Wait on the Lord...
"So on the second day they marched around the city once and returned to camp. They did this for six days."
God specifically told Joshua to have his people march around the city once everyday, only once. God also promised them that on the last day they would march and by merely shouting the walls of the city would crumble before their eyes. With the anticipation of the walls crumbling you can just imagine how difficult it would be not to want to shout out early, to rush to the result of God’s plan before the timing was perfect. Waiting on God’s timing is not easy however if we keep in mind that the plan is God’s to begin with and trust that His timing is perfect we will, through His help, be able to see it through. Joshua’a people were able to focus on the task at hand and stick to God’s plan with a glorious blessing and fulfilled promise at the conclusion. Keep your eyes on God, not on yourself and trust that His way and timing are perfect.
