1 Corinthians 16:13-14...Be Strong and Love...

“Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.”

Paul’s instructions above are solid, powerful and carry a tremendous amount of strength. It seems very pointed and much like marching orders, to be strong, have courage and stand firm, however all this moxie flows into the last of his instructions, and that is “do everything in love.” If we put love at the heart of all that we do and set our course according to Christ we will find ourselves centered in His will. God’s love, shown through us daily, is what the world is waiting to see. Though they may resist it and try to attack it, love will prevail. When you are being attacked or feel as though you are being persecuted and you find it tough to push through and forgive or love, remember that Jesus loved even those that crucified Him and offered forgiveness to them. This is the example of love that we are to share with everyone.
