Romans 10:9-10...Claim and Profess...

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

There are many declarations that we make with our mouths. Declarations of loyalty, love and commitment to each other, to our community and to our friends and family. We profess these declarations because we believe in our hearts and in our minds that they are right and just and that they bring value to our lives. So we know how to believe and we know how to profess well about things and emotions that we experience everyday. We are quite convincing in our declarations about some things, even to the annoyance of others. This is how we should be about the love of Christ and about the salvation that He has afforded us through Christ Jesus. We believe it in our hearts therefore we should proclaim it with our mouths and invite others to experience the saving grace of Jesus. Proclaim the greatest gift of all, your salvation!
