1 Peter 2:1-3...Warning, Avoid Malice and Deceit...

"Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good."

Living in a world where insults and bitter talk seem to be the norm makes it difficult to stand your ground sometimes. But we must be faithful to our calling and faithful to our Lord in casting these things off. The ways of the world are always trying to draw us in, tempting us to adopt it’s philosophy and sway our way of thinking. Recognize this for what it truly is, a spiritual battle, a battle that we have the amour to fight. God is with us. By our side and always lifting us up, strengthening us and preparing us for what is yet to come. Remember that we are His children, chosen to follow Him.
