Acts 2:46-47...Gather Together...

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

One of the largest disappointments of the pandemic has been the restraint placed on our social interaction. We were created with a natural desire to fellowship and to interact with our fellow man. We are used to eating together, to laughing together and to sharing our experiences of life with one another. Thankfully we have been blessed with technology that allows us to see and hear each other but this falls incredibly short of what we need. There is a sense of community and wholeness when we freely gather with each other. In every culture and on every continent this need exists. We depend on it when we gather to worship and we need it in order to share with others about Christ. Persecution has many forms and surely this recent event has shown to be one. In order to counteract what satan means for harm we must pray and seek God’s direction for our lives. We should use the tools that we have and search for ways to gather when we are able, to love on one another, to reach out and to support one another and to pray for each other daily. This is a critical time for us to show the world that Jesus lives within our hearts.
