Psalm 111:10...Cherish Wisdom...

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments, His praise endures forever.”

One of the most cherished possessions mentioned in the scripture is wisdom. Those who sought after it were highly esteemed and became great leaders of many people. In today's world there are many who believe they have wisdom and even more that knowingly pretend to be wise, however we can clearly see, in the scripture above, that the starting point of wisdom is knowing and fearing God. Without that anchor point it is impossible to to grow and to understand the difference between good and evil. Look around and it will not take you long to find those that are missing the foundation and are floundering in the waters of deceit and unrest. Our prayer, and our mission, should be to share the love and fear that we have of God to others. The fear of eternal life without salvation and the love of Christ to offer His sacrifice and mercy for each of us. This is the foundation of the wise.
