2 Peter 1:5-7...Life Choices...
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
Faith is the most important thing we own. It is the product and basis of our salvation. And to this foundation we have been instructed to add many qualities and attributes to our lives. They are listed in the verses above and they end with love. It is worthwhile to read through them several times and again from time-to-time as we walk through our daily lives. These attributes are the very essence of the life of Jesus. They are a road map of what our lives should be or at the very least how we should try to live. Within our daily walk we will face many instances that rub against these truths. We will feel pressure and experience hurt, yet we should be resolve in our hearts and minds that Christ walks with us, talks with us and cares for us deeply. We are His children and forevermore kept in His loving arms.
Blessings,
