2 Corinthians 4:7-10...Hope, Always...

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”

We are but simple “jars of clay’, formed and fashioned by God, in His image and for His purpose. Without God we would not exist. That simple statement is enough to realize that our existence depends on Him. God knew us long before we were conceived. He knew the trials and the pressures that we would face. He gave us hope through His only Son, and transformed our hearts through Jesus in death and resurrection. We carry this knowledge with us in our hearts and share it with others so that they might also understand and allow Christ into their hearts. We may face pressure and persecutions, hardships and pain but we know who holds the future and whose hand is on our lives. This assurance is the only hope that matters and the only hope that is true and secure.
