Acts 5:41-42... Be Bold, Be Strong...

The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

The apostles were strong in their convictions and strong in their faith. They were willing to risk everything to advance the name of Jesus, even to the point of personal injury or death. This boldness was essential in the early church and bound the early Christians together. Their numbers grew more each day and those that heard the message of Jesus came to know Him as Savior. We need this boldness today. As Christians we are shunned and put down. Laughed at and ridiculed by the world around us. These are the very people who need to hear about Christ. They need to see Him living within us and through us each and every day. We must be bold in proclaiming the gospel and the power of Christ. Our message must be clear and precise that Jesus is the only way and through Him salvation may be found. There is no other way. We must be like the apostles and never stop teaching, for there are still many who need to hear.
