Far too many people are seeking after their moment of glory or fame. YouTube and countless other social media platforms promote the promise of “going viral” to attract those wanting that sliver of fame, a chance to be in the spotlight and to be recognized among their fellow men. While this can make you feel good and special it is not the recognition that we should be seeking after. Praise from man is fleeting and the very same people that praised you one day will gladly turn against you the next day for their own benefit. Instead of pleasing others we should make certain that we are pleasing God, confessing Him to others and praising His name with shouts of praise, fearful, not of what others think, but joyful in the honor we can bring to Christ. To God be the Glory!
