Romans 16:17-18...Keep Your Head On Straight...

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.”

As Christians we must always be on alert. There are those around us who are destined to try and tear us down by whatever means necessary. This is not meant as warning to cause fear, but rather a call to be ready, bathed in prayer and prepared to refute the enemy by wielding the scripture, God’s Word, in response to those that are blind to the saving power of Christ. Paul, in his writing to the Romans, warns of the same and how subtle these detractors can present themselves. Be sharpe and studied and ready to answer with love and compassion to those who do not know Christ. It is by our words and by our actions that others will see and understand how great the love of God is, and that it fills our hearts and minds.
