1 Timothy 1:15-17...Patience Please...

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

In our prayers and thoughts each day are persons that we feel are lost and still searching for the truth that is contained in the gospel of Christ. Whether they be family members or friends, we want for them what we have experienced. Paul had this same compulsion and wrote about it often, always comparing just how great a sinner he was prior to his eye opening experience on the road to Damascus. As Christians we long for everyone to come to know Christ. That is why we share, in love, our faith, our praise, our glory for God in all that we do. One of the phrases that jumps out to me in this passage is God’s immense patience. Indeed we should often emulate this ourselves as we live our daily lives. to God be the Glory, great thing He hath done!
