Mark 12:30-31...Two Simple Things...
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
Throughout the centuries, from the time that God handed down the ten commandments to Moses, man has struggled with which of these is the most important or most offensive to God. Many papers have been written and thoughts espoused about the answer to this question, however, the answer is clearly given by Jesus as he addresses the teachers of His day. It boils down to two very simple commands as we see in this scripture. The central point is LOVE and when we harbor this truth in our hearts we are compelled to share. Two simple and easy commands that require only a simple ingredient that God himself supplies for us through His loving kindness, grace and mercy. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow!”
