Matthew 4:12,13,17... Jesus must be more.....

"When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali."
"From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’”

As Jesus began to preach, John was now in prison. Where John had been the illumination to show people the way to the Lord, he now was subdued so that the one true light could be revealed in Jesus. Much as the stars are removed from the sky once the sun shines, so must we be cautious and careful not to try and outshine the Light of the World. A true testimony to Christians and our witness of the Gospel message is the way in which Christ remains first and foremost. Once we get ahead of or attempt to outshine Christ, we are headed for peril. Our purpose is simple, follow Jesus and our message is true, repent and He will forgive. Let HIs light shine upon me and show me the path that is laid out before me, this is our prayer.
