Matthew 14:25-27...Don't be afraid....

"Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. ‘It’s a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’”

Often when we are afraid of what we see in the distance we have lost a bit of our focus and our resolve in God’s protection. Fear can be a powerful enemy draining our strength and confusing our minds. When we notice that fear is present we need to rely on fear’s worst enemy, faith. Jesus taught us that our faith will overcome fear and that our faith should be solely in Him. Our faith should be like a full glass of water, allowing nothing else to taken in. Keeping that glass full requires that we commune with God, study His Word and communicate with Him daily. May your glass (of faith) always be full.
