Isaiah 53:4-6...He took our place...
“Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all.”
Hallelujah, Christ has indeed suffered and died for our transgressions. He took all of our sins, past and present, with Him to the cross in order to provide for us a way of salvation and hope for the future. As we became Christians we ask for God’s forgiveness of our sins and we should continue to ask for that forgiveness daily as we are not perfect or able to walk with sin. God knows your struggles and is there for you. Lean on Him and your load will be lighter.
