Luke 1:38...I am ready...

"And Mary said, 'Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.' And the angel departed from her.’”

Despite the fears that Mary might have had about her pregnancy and all the talk that it surely would produce, she was humble and true to her nature of being a servant of God. She was willing to endure personal humiliation, and social distress to serve the Lord in the capacity laid our before her. God is looking for such servants of His kingdom. Willing to move forward and accept the role according to His word. This should be our prayer each day, that we are living our lives according to His word, following His direction and sharing the love of Christ with everyone we meet.
