Luke 1:30-32...Finding Favor..

"And the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.’”

We might only imagine how frightened Mary was when the angel appeared and then to hear that she had found favor with God. Truly this was an astonishing moment for her yet there was still more news to hear. Mary was to become the mother of Jesus. The savior and messiah that had been promised for generations was soon to arrive. Undoubtably this was the greatest news of all time even though the next several months would be difficult and troublesome for Mary and Joseph, they were about to start a journey that we gladly celebrate even today. Thank you God for sending your Son.
