Luke 2:8-10...Love came Down...
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.’"
The shepherds were doing what they did every day and night, looking after the flock and making sure that they were safe from predators. Suddenly an angel appears out of no where. You might well imagine just how it would be if an angel appeared to you. Terrified is a good description, and they were, just as God knew they would be, so the angel’s first words were “Do not be afraid”. Isn’t that the message that we all need to hear from time to time. Fear not, don’t worry, cast all your burdens on Him. If we listen carefully we will hear His voice and know that we do not need to be afraid for He brings good news of great joy through salvation to each of us.
