Judges 8:33...All day, Everyday ...
“No sooner had Gideon died that the Israelites again prostituted themselves to the Baals. They set up Baal-Berth as their god and did not remember the Lord their God, who had rescued them from the hands of all their enemies on every side.”
Not too long ago when terrorist decided to fly two airliners into the twin towers of New York City, the population of our church services each Sunday swelled as people started to remember God for who He is, yet today God has been thrown on the back burner and all but forgotten about by most of the casual church attendees of that day. Israel was much the same way. Whenever God appointed a great leader, Israel followed, under his command. But they turned away just as quickly once the dust settled. God does not want us to be casual observers or johnny-come-lately worshipers. He wants our full attention, all the time. Our instruction is simple, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength.” I think it would be prudent to add, and all the time.
