1 Timothy 6:17-18...Giving is better than getting..

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”

Generosity is a trait that we should hold dear as Christians. We are commanded to share the faith that we experience and to share Christ’s love with everyone. Giving is a great part of what the Christian life is all about. When we were young we were taught to share, to play well with others, to let go of the tight grip of possession in favor of the joy of giving. God provides everything for our enjoyment in life, and the more that we share and give to others, He will re-supply. After all, His resources are endless, He owns it ALL.
